Day 1
Welcome to Trichy !
Arrive at Tiruchirappalli (Trichy), the gateway to the historic Chola heartland of Tamil Nadu. Upon arrival, enjoy a traditional South Indian lunch/brunch. Later, visit Kallanai (Grand Anicut) 20 km/ 30 min Approx, one of the oldest functioning dams in the world and a remarkable engineering marvel built by Karikala Chola nearly 2,000 years ago across the Kaveri River. Thereafter, proceed to Kumbakonam (110 km /2hr approx), a historic temple town celebrated for its spiritual heritage, ancient temples, and deep connection to the Chola dynasty. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and relax. Rest of the day is at leisure to soak in the charm of this culturally rich town. Later, enjoy the Pink Evening followed by dinner and overnight stay in Kumbakonam with the WOW women travel community, creating safe and enriching travel experiences for women who love to explore together.
